                                Shenandoah River. The 3rd. Annual Shenandoah Riverside Festival is a family friendly event created to

Watermelon Park's...  Events     Come see what's going on at the 'Melon!
Watermelon Park has a reputation for being the home of many great and historical music events. The first "Bluegrass Day" was held on August 10, 1960.
This is believed to be the very first Bluegrass Festival in the country! This rich history and tradition continues today at our annual Watermelon Park Fest! Held on
the fourth weekend in September. This great event is brought to you by Shepherd's Ford Productions & Watermelon Park.

We are very active in our local and surrounding communities as well. We have created two of our very own fund raisers. One is our annual Spring Fever Bass
Tournament that benefits the Boys & Girls Club and the second being RuBiTube, a 14.4 mile triathlon, benefiting the Blue Ridge Wildlife Center.

Watermelon Park is a great outdoor venue for hosting Weddings & Receptions, Family Reunions, Company Picnics, Church & Civic Groups, Team Building
workshops, Chamber of Commerce Events, Sports team outings and more!
